Hello, all:
Today was a Practical Test flight practice day. Warren P, Jeff F, Bob A, John H, and Liam G all flew with Steve, who played the role of the DPE (Designated Flight Examiner). Steve had the five OSCI members who are preparing for their Practical Exam go thru the flight maneuvers in the FAA Practical Test Standards document. This included boxing the wake, straight and level flight, slow turns, steep turns, various stalls and stall recovery, and precision landings. Twelve practice flights were completed. If anything, Steve over-prepares his student pilots; that’s not a bad thing.
