Hello, all:

There’s not much to report today. We started early to fly-off a group of the ‘Mile High Experience’ gift certificates that have accumulated. There were some flight lessons and check ride practice flights, and two bi-annual flight review flights. Otherwise, it was a quiet day with a total of fourteen flights.

Today’s flights:

– Steve R flew four ‘Mile High Experience rides. These flights were gift certificates purchased last Christmas. These folks live two miles from KBTA and have been watching us fly for years. We get a lot of people who buy glider rides who see us as they drive past on the highway.
– Bob A completed his BFR via two pattern tows with Steve.
– Steve R flew two more ‘Mile High’ rides, along with a 3,000′ flight. These folks drove over from Des Moines to experience glider rides. We asked why they didn’t fly with the Ames, IA soaring club, since it’s so much closer. They said they didn’t know there was a soaring club in Ames.
– Sean S did a self-launch in his Jonker’s JS-3.
– Tom S flew a solo in the L-23.
– Jeff F and Steve flew 3 pattern tow flights.

Frank did the towing today.

Thanks all.
