Hi All,
We are less than six weeks from the shortest day of the year, and by mid-afternoon, the sun is already so low that you don’t dare fly without sunglasses. Still, it was a nice day to be out flying. Today’s flights:
– Tom flew a solo flight in the L-23.
– Jonathan F flew two flight lessons with Erick.
– Sean flew two flights in his Jonkers JS-3. He was towed aloft on his first flight and self-launched on the second. On one of his flights, he flew out to the Orem Aerodrome and back, which was probably close to 20 miles round-trip. Having an L/D of 58:1 plus a battery powered engine as backup allows Sean to be adventurous.
– Beth C. flew two flight lessons with Steve and one flight lesson with Eric.
– Bud flew a 27-minute solo flight in the L-23.
– Ryan K. took his friend Ian for two flights in the L-23. Their second flight was today’s hangar flight.
Frank did the towing today.
Regards,
OSCI
