Six of us showed up to brave the brisk winds and temps and had a successful day of it. Potential new member Chris Schwartz showed up for a couple of FAST flights with Whit as instructor and Dan towing. Chris is a retired Air Force pilot who did some glider flying at the Academy sometime back and is interested in obtaining his CFIG rating. Would be a great addition to the club. Tom S. flew the next flight solo followed by Pat G. for 18 to 20 minute flights each. Dan and Whit then went up to do some fun flying (snap rolls, hammerheads and outside loops) Yea right! Steve S. finished up with the hanger flight. Winds were just right for some good x-wind take-off and landing practice. Saturday looks like the next opportunity to fly although Dan and Whit will not be available.
