Mac says:
Jim Clark and Jerry Adams came out well before the 1:00 start time and washed the L-23. They also filled up our field transportation machines and the gas can. Perry called Bert who said he could not make it out to the airport after all. The Jantar has a low tire so it will have to be pumped up before it’s moved for a wash. Mac McKain was out to take pictures and bang on the tractor to get it to shift gears. The grass runway seems dry enough to use. Not having a lot of rain or wet snow to seep into the ground and then freeze the surface is still compacted. Rain followed by a freeze may cause it to rise and become soft. We’ll just have to keep an eye on it.
