Hi all:

Another chilly morning today! We’re expecting our first frost and freeze this week. And yet, there were thermals popping late this afternoon. I took Will M. along for my flight, and we were up for 45 minutes and reached 4,900′ MSL. Not bad!

Today’s flights:

– Ryan K flew 3 practice flights with Eric H. for his upcoming check ride. He’s ready and excited for the tests.
– Eric flew a Mile High flight gift certificate.
– Dan P flew a Mile High flight gift certificate.
– Will flew two flights. First, he flew a flight lesson with Steve, after which Steve signed Will off to be towed to 3,000′ for solo flights, and he’s allowed to fly further from the airport. So, that’s what Will did on his solo flight – he flew higher and farther.
– Jeff flew a check ride practice flight with Eric H, and a second practice flight with Steve. That’s when the thermals got going. They were up for more than 30 minutes.
– I flew the hangar flight with Will riding in back seat. We were up for a while and could’ve stayed up longer. We landed because we could see that Will’s mom was there to drive him home. Will is a solo glider pilot, and he’s just 15 years old – his first solo was last year, when he was 14.

Dan and Frank shared the towing today.

Thanks everyone.
